Travel with Kids

How do I travel from Washington State to Hawaii with my Shih Tzu? I hope it's not true that airlines don't let this breed travel in cargo because of their noses (pugs too i've heard). Obviously, I don't want to endanger my dog but I have to get her there somehow. Hawaii requires that all incoming animals arrive in cargo not the cabin. I am moving back and won't leave my little pup behind. Any suggestions or alternatives? Mahalo!

Sorry but I'll be no help to you with this one. I'm in the business of booking humans on planes but don't know about dogs. I do know that you need to contact the freight departments of airlines, not reservations though - how awful that our precious pups are considered freight! Good luck
